Questions, answered
Do I need the lead's consent before the AI calls them?
Yes. HearBack only calls leads who checked a consent box on your form (for example, “I agree to receive a call from an AI assistant about my inquiry”). Submissions without consent are recorded but never dialed.
As the site owner, you're responsible for telemarketing rules that apply to you, such as TCPA in the United States. The setup wizard shows you how to add a compliant consent checkbox to each form.
Which countries does HearBack work in?
During the pilot, dedicated numbers are US local numbers. The agent can call leads in any country where outbound calling is permitted — international minutes are simply billed at their per-minute rate from your wallet.
What happens on voicemail or no answer?
The agent detects voicemail and leaves a short message, then retries on a smart schedule — about 15 minutes later, then 2 hours, then the next day — always inside the lead's local calling hours.
If every attempt is exhausted, your team gets an email with the lead's details so a human can pick it up. Nothing disappears quietly.
What about my leads' data and GDPR?
HearBack processes the lead's name, phone number, and form answers solely to place and document the call. Calls are transcribed, and transcripts are visible only to you.
You can erase a lead's personal data by phone number at any time, and we support that as a one-request deletion. Details are in our privacy policy.
Can I listen to the calls?
Every call produces a full written transcript plus a summary and the lead's extracted answers, all in the HearBack screens inside wp-admin. Completed calls are also summarized by email to your sales team, so you rarely need to dig.
Will this slow down or break my forms?
No. HearBack hooks in after your form plugin finishes its own processing and hands the lead off in the background with a strict timeout. If our service is ever unreachable, your visitor's submission still goes through exactly as before, and the plugin retries the hand-off automatically.
